Fighting in the front line.
Sleeping in the trenches. Shooting at the enemy it all seemed fine,
killing for queen and country. Blood covered my clothes.
Corpses lay in the trenches and on no-man’s land.

But now, as my best friend fell in battle,
I understand it’s just plain killing.

The barrels are aiming.

Just ones finger twitchs.

And a dozen lifes tear to pieces.

The world is watching but not intervening

Where are those brave and heroic men, we elected, now?

Look at these empty walls and tell me why is this happening?
